Charity O'Dare is trying to convince Hawkman that she can help him. She is connected to Rita so can see the readings that Rita is making for Morgaine. This enables her to get an early glimpse of the next rift appearing in Brazil. Hawkman is able to send Green Arrow, Tomorrow Woman and Flash to close this one and gain the power from it.

One night a family of performers was attacked and the parents were killed, leaving only the son alive. Atmahn gave a gift to the son, making him Rabat of the Golden Wing. He had the powers to stop other criminals on his world. In retaliation, those who rejected order became the Laughing Chaos and one night captured Rabat and beat him to death.
