The new Ryan Phillippe rumor, it's only a rumor.
The same thing happend with The Joker, I forgot which actor it was, but BOF reported a rumor that he was in talks for The Joker, then someone posted it on IMDB and everyone thought it was true, but now we know it's Ledger as The Joker.
What happend this time was that, again, BOF reported a rumor; But this time somone from the actual staff of IMDB had mistaken it for confermation of the rumor, and reported it in their news section; and then everyone else reads it and, BOOM, it's on a lot of news sites.

I knew it had to be a rumor . Thanks for clearing that up .

I reckon Julian McMahon would make a good role as Harvey Dent. I mean, on Charmed, he played an evil assistant District Attorney, so he has some experience. Also, he proved he could play a superhero baddy in Fantastic Four (basically the only good acting in it was by him). What do you guys think?

yeah i agree actually, macmahon might do a good two face... hmm the possibilities... lol
personally for the next 2 films i would love for them to stay almost perfectly cannon and do (in my opinion 2 of the best batman books ever) the long halloween and dark victory as the next films, but yeah i can see macmahon playing twoface quite well, don't know how his 'harvey' would be but we'l just have to wait and see.

Umm... I know a couple of people who would love to see Julian go crazy (Again), but he's a little on the old side for what Nolan seems to be going for.

He's only six years off from Bale, which would certainly be a reasonable age for someone working as a full DA. As someone said elsewhere, makeup can narrow that gap even further. He seems like a decent choice to me. |

He's older looking than every one that's been rumored; and if we learned anything from Ledger, it's that some of the rumors are close to what Nolan wants.
And the real question isn't wheather or not he can play evil, the question is if he can play the kind, honorable crusading D.A. role; because even when he was good in Charmed, he still had a huge dark side.

To work around that if they did pick Julian is that maybe, just maybe, they could use a plot line similar to the one used in the animated series ("Big Bad Harv'" ? They could still fill in Joker scarring Havey, but just that bring out is bad side instead of an explosion.

I think Andy Garcia would be good as Harvey Dent and Two-Face. He's a great actor, can do any character. I don't see the character being young, but not old either.

Too much of an age-gap between Garcia and Bale.

I don't ever recall Two-Face/Harvey Dent being the same age as Bruce Wayne. The only time that happened was in Batman: The Animated Series, where Wayne and Dent were college roommates/buddies. Everywhere else, Dent/Two-Face was older than Wayne. |

John Maklkovich would have been a great LOOKING Joker. Maybe just a little bit old, but what an evil look and grin he could dish out. I always thot Joker was a bit older than Batman anyway....even from his RedMask beginnings.
What about Josh Hartnet as Dent? Good looks ruined by the acid...drivren crazy by the loss...There's a hidden intensity that no one has pulled from this guy yet... |

I did like the rumor about Josh Lucas in the run for Harvey Dent a while back.
Phoenix would be a good choice as well.
Not sure I'd like the idea of Ryan Phillippe as Dent doesn't feel right to me. Not "dark" enough, by dark I don't mean Billy Dee Williams I mean personality wise.
Andy Garcia might be a could choice but there is the age factor I think Dent should be in his mid 30's a little older then Bruce but not by much

Josh Hartnet would be interesting. And that's crazy, I always thought that John Malkovich would be a good Joker too. I think Phoenix would be a good choice also for Two-Face. I still like Andy Garcia though, I love it when he plays a villian. |
