Here's a repost of my original thread, basically about what songs YOU would add to a batman soundtrack if Howard and Zimmer had not done the scores for the movie. Here are the songs that I chose, along with some of the other songs that had been noted by others previously.
1. Hang on-Seether
2. Crawling in the Dark-Hoobastank
3. Figure 8- Trust Company
4. Who I Am- Smile Empty Soul
5. Bullet Proof Skin- The Institute
6. The Unforgiven- Metallica
7. I Am Aware Now- Seether
8. Blow Me Away- Breaking Benjamin
9. Breakdown- Breaking Benjamin
If you have any more suggestions feel free to post them!
"I went around the world, searched in all the shadows. And there is something out there in the darkness, something terrifying, something that will not stop until it gets revenge... Me"

The only thing I'd add would be Shirley Walker's theme from Batman:TAS and Mask of the Phantasm.
Marge: Homer, I've got someone here who can help!
Homer: Batman?
Marge: No, a scientist!
Homer: Batman's a scientist.
Marge: It's not BATMAN!! |

Yeah, I like the sound of that. I think the words go to it maybe just a little, but the music would go with it really well.

How about "The End Has Come" By Ben Moody? I worked well when I started making a music vid on it (it was erased unfortunately) so I think it would be a nice addition.

The one song I identify with Batman above all others is Johnny Cash's "Man in Black." The lyrics are nearly perfectly suited to the Dark Knight. It's a song in which Cash explains why he always dresses in black. If he'd tossed in a line about his parents being gunned down in an alley, they'd be a perfect match. Do yourself a favor and give it a listen sometime!

Its a good song, and the lyrics would work. However, the flaw is, his country style sound would not be good to put directly into a movie. As far as a soundtrack edition its cool, but not to put right in the movie itself. One of the things i didnt like about "Batman" was the prince music literally put in the movie. |

"The Diary of Jane" by Breaking Benjamin (its about the secret life of a jane doe and has lines that I think flow quite well with Batman)
"Forget It" By Breaking Benjamin
