Well, Chris gave me the go ahead,so here I am! This will be our first writing competition. If this contest does well, Chris said he might look into making an ''official'' contest!
Anyways,now onto the competition. The main story would (obviously) be your idea to a sequel following Batman Begins and TDK. Since we don't know exactly what happens in TDK, your story can be a continuation of what YOU think will happen in TDK.
Here are the rules:
A maximum of 15 pages(but other pages can be posted seperatly)
-Must be made for this contest, no reposts
-No plagiarising
-Try and be as creative as possible!
-Don't post work in progresses
-MUST include Two-Face (as a main villian or secondary villian, but he must be in there somewhere)
-MUST include one other character, good or bad(so you dont NEED to include batman if the part of the story doesnt call for him)
-the story must flow, so nothing like B&R with two villians working together who believe in two totally opposite things, it doesnt really make sense.
*The rules in red must be included in all the rules for the other competitions*
*You arent writing a whole movie script, it is just a piece of your script*
The contest will last TWO weeks.
Voting will start after the contest closes and will last for 3 days.
To vote, PM me(batboy99) with the name of the member you are voting for, the names will be counted up and whoever has the most votes WINS!
The winner gets to choose the idea for the next contest and will make the thread.
If there is a tie, both winners will get together and come up with an idea together.
Let the sames begin!

Sorry dude, but 2 pages is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too few for a Batman story. At most that's one scene. we're basically limited to an action sequence cause there's no room for story structure.
Also, there is no saying Two-face is TDK's sequals villian, it could be anyone and Two-face cold just be asecondary character.
So basically you've given us no options.

I don't know how to put this in a way that's not blunt... But if you don't want to take the time to read the entries then you shouldn't be doing a Fan-Fic contest. The only way to fit a movie length story into 4 pages is to make it a synopsis, and that's like having an art competition where the artist describes what he would have done if he took the time to draw an actual picture.
You asked us to write a movie... You're asking for a 75 page minimum. now a short story could be done in 4-5 pages, but it would have to be brief...

Ya, but im not telling you to write a whole movie script, its only a piece, thats why it says that you can post the rest of the story, but that wouldnt be your entry. Its olny a two week competition, it shouldnt be going on for too long, cuz then people will get bored with this competition and want to move on, thats why its only two weeks and im not asking for a whole movie script, just a piece.
Maybe we could make a seperate thread(not a competition) with peoples actual scripts for a BB3 movie

How about 15 pages? That's only about a 10 minute read and it gives us enough room to play with plots. I mean 4 pages is about 12-15 paragraphs. That means there can't be character development, there can't be much dialog, there can't be too long an action sequence, and there can't be mystery.
Take this from the son of a writter, if you want to do a competition about writing you've got to take the time to read more than 4 pages.

Where do we post the stories? I assume in this Thread, but should we create a new Board for it and have new Threads on that Board be the place to each story entry?
As for posting on the Board, are we limited by the number of characters per Post? I don’t know what that is, so maybe we will need a number of posts to hit the 10 page limit.
You said we need to have Two-Face, but not The Joker. I just wanted to know why given both are in TDK.

id assume not the clown prince of crime because hes probobly gonna get put away in tdk and his likleyness of being used in the third installment is very very slim due to the death of mr.ledger

FlaBat-Post it in this thread. We dont want a bunch of theads for different stuff. Hmm im not sure about the limited characters, if that happens, maybe find a place to upload the document and hen post the link
Matt-You could include joker if you want, the only rules are to include two face somewhere and one other minor character(and batman of course, if he's needed in that part of your story)
You can include Joker, but he's the main baddie in TDK, so this is gonna be a B3 story with a different villain, but ofcouse, if you want to you can include Joker as yuor main villian.
The reason i didnt make it mandatory for Joker is because of the passing of Heath, and well, we dont know if joker will even be in the 3rd one, but its your story, you can always include it, i think i might throw him in a cameo part in mine

Rupert Thorne was not the kind of man who was easily scared. Thanks to the Scarecrow, Two-Face and The Joker, Thorne had risen to power in Gotham’s crime world to replace Carmine Falcone and Carl Grissom. Falcone was a babbling shell of his former self after a dose of Scarecrows gas, but still Two-Face killed him in the Narrows one night. Grissom was gunned down by The Joker after Grissom had set him up. With The Joker safely tucked away in Arkham Asylum, Thorne made his move and now Thorne was the number one crime boss.
He sat confidently behind the huge desk in a back room at the Tobacconists Club. A thin blue haze permeated the room, dimly lit by wall scones. While Thorne feared no man, not even the Batman, the figure that sat before him was different. Two-Face was unlike any other man. On one side he was Harvey Dent the District Attorney that Falcone, Grissom and Thorne all tried to bribe. The other side he was the visibly and emotionally scarred Two-Face, one of Gotham’s most ruthless criminals.
“So what do you want with us?” said Two-Face matter of factly. “Perhaps we can work together” said Thorne, adding “We could never get Harvey Dent to play ball, perhaps you will”. “Harvey’s not here right now” Two-Face uttered in a low growl, looking at Thorne in disgust. Two-Face sat looking intently at Thorne, while he rolled his coin over the fingers of his right hand.
“Two burglaries, two diversions are you interested?” stammered Thorne as he composed himself. “Powers Technology and Wayne Tech both have something I need” Thorne continued. “They are two pieces of a puzzle, when combined they will give me what I need to take down Batman and rule Gotham as I see fit.” “What’s in it for us?” asked Two-Face. “Two Million Dollars, 100 Thousand now, and rest upon delivery.”
Two-Face mulled it over, his coin rolling over his fingers. “I think we want Four Million, half now, half when it’s done” He poised the coin on his cocked thumb and flipped it. It landed scarred side up “Yes…” he sighed “…Four Million it is.” Thorne shifted nervously in in seat. “Or perhaps I kill you now and keep these things for myself” added Two-Face, again he poised the coin and flipped it again. Thorne was slowing reaching under the desk when the coin landed in Two-Face’s palm, good side up. “Ah…” Two-Face sighed, “…you get to live awhile longer.”
Thorne stopped reaching. He sat upright and said “Four Million it is, you can pick it up tomorrow night with the instructions”. Both men stood, the tension in the room released a bit as Two-Face walked towards the door. “You should look up Fire Fly…” added Thorne “… I have some old buildings he can burn down as a diversion up in Crown Point and down by the Finger River” Two-Face nodded, flipped his coin once more. He looked up from his palm, “Yes, he can” is all he said as he left the room.
It was a quiet night in Gotham City maybe too quiet. Batman blended easily into the shadows of the foliage in Wayne Botanical Gardens. He looked south across The Reservoir towards Robinson Park. Scarecrow tried to poison Gotham once, The Reservoir was too big a temptation not to keep an eye on. Batman listened intently to the scanners. A fire at an old apartment complex on the Finger River, south and to the west of his position he could see the orange yellow flames licking the night sky. The buildings were abandoned, set to be torn down, probably insurance fraud Batman thought, still he watched The Reservoir. Batman clicked the radio, “Alfred…the fire by the river” he asked in a gravely voice. “Yes sir…” Alfred replied, “…GNN reports the buildings are abandoned and they do not expect any victims”.
Something came racing across the skyline, low and fast from the direction of the large fire. It was small, and looked like a man in some sort of suit flying racing across the night sky. Batman crouched in the shadows as it passed overhead, flying north. He lost it in the trees as he sprinted to the Batmobile. The Batmobile roared to life and raced out of the Gardens in pursuit.
Batman watched a small blip on the RADAR in the Batmobile as it banked away from Arkham Asylum and the Narrows and headed towards The Bowery. The Batmobile raced over the bridge into the older part of town. The Bowery was a mostly derelict and crime-ridden part of Gotham, filled with the homeless and the helpless. Crown Point and Crime Alley were part of The Bowery. Bruce Wayne’s life was forever changed in this part of town. The blip was gone from RADAR. The Batmobile slowed on these desolate streets as Batman looked for where this new foe could have landed.
The street thugs slipped back and cowered in the alley shadows as the rumbling black vehicle passed them by. The homeless outside Leslie Thompkins clinic stood as the strange vehicle rolled slowly past and turned a corner. A homeless girl ran into the streets and the Batmobile came to an abrupt stop. “He’s going to burn my mommy” the girl cried hysterically. The canopy on the Batmobile open up and slid back as Batman stepped out. “Who? Where?” he asked trying to calm the young girl. “There!” she pointed back to a row house. “My mommy is in there with my little brother” she pleaded. More people stumbled out of the building.
Batman stepped in to entry hallway. The smell of gasoline was everywhere, and a long wet winding trail of it leads up the stairs and down the hall. Batman followed the trail and found the mystery flier. He was clad in a heavy insulated suit, wearing a helmet and a small tank with wings on his back. Batman came up from behind him as he was pouring a trail of gasoline down the hall. He pulled a Batarang from his Utility Belt and let it fly.
The Batarang clanged off the helmet and startled Garfield Lyons. He turned to face Batman. “Ha! Roast Bat, my favorite!” he exclaimed as he raised the Flamethrower in his right hand. “I’m Firefly!” he yelled “…and you’re toast!.” Just then a door next to Batman in the hallway opened, a young mother holding her son emerged trying to escape. Batman spread his cape around the mother and young son pushing them back into the apartment just as the flame from the Fire Fly’s flamethrower roared past them. The hallway was instantly engulfed in flames and Batman led the two a window he fired his grappling gun into towards the building across the street and got them both out safely out of the burning building sailing down a zipline.
Fire Fly burst out of another window and turned and flew into the next building. Batman followed him in and caught him in the stairwell. He continued to spread fuel and set fires. Batman followed trying to stop him, but the flamethrower kept him pinned back. Batman raised his cape for defense each time, as he stalked this new rogue. “New in town aren’t you?” questioned Batman. “Nah…” replied Fire Fly. “… I grew up here, right here in this neighborhood.” “You see Batman, in nature forests burn so they can regrow, so I’m torching Gotham so it can regrow” Fire Fly exclaimed. He burst out another window, back to the street, and Batman followed him as the building exploded into flames behind him.
Batman stumbled back into the street, his cape, his whole Batsuit smoldering with smoke from the fires. Garfield, the Fire Fly pulled off his helmet. “Remember me?” he asked looking to his left at Batman. Batman looked him over and recognized a small time robber he had turned into to Lieutenant Gordon not long ago. “Yes” said Batman, “I see you’ve added Arson to your list of accomplishments.” “You have no idea” countered Fire Fly. “Let’s add Astronaut to that too” retorted Batman, who pulled another Batarang and flung it at the tank on Fire Fly’s back as he turned to fly away.
The pressurized fuel in the tank hissed out and the drops of fire dripping from the flamethrower were enough to spark it. The tank ignited like a rocket and Fire Fly roared into to sky twisting and turning violently. “Sir?” Alfred’s voice crackled over the radio in Batman’s cowl. “Sir, from the Manor I can see two massive fires in Gotham and what appears to be a rocket fired from The Bowery flying towards Rogers Yacht Basin.” Alfred paused there was no answer. “Sir, are you alright?” Alfred asked. “Yes, I’m on my way back” Batman replied as he watched Fire Fly freefall back to Earth.
The Batmobile was on Auto Pilot as it crossed the Robert Kane Memorial Bridge on it’s way back to Gotham Heights and the Batcave. The Batmobile blasted through the waterfall landing in the Batcave. When Batman got out he was still smoking. “Hot date tonight Sir” Alfred said dryly. Batman pulled the cowl off and looked at Alfred without answering. “Hotter than you know, Master Bruce” Alfred continued. “How’s that Alfred?” asked Bruce as had began taking off the Batsuit. “Because Wayne Tech was robbed tonight and it looks as if Powers Technology was too, sir.” countered Alfred.
“A robbery?” asked Bruce. “Yes sir, Lucius called, it was a Ultra Sonic Pulse Canon.” answered Alfred. “That’s an agricultural tool for third world countries to clear pests from the fields.” offered Bruce. “Well it’s been another long night Master Bruce, I suggest you get some rest” Alfred directed. “You can meet with Lucius in the morning, then you can ask the Powers about what happened when you meet them later in the day” he continued. “What am I meeting the Powers for?” asked Bruce. “They are signing a contract for Wayne Tech Bio-Diesel Engines for some new vehicle they developed, remember sir?” Bruce took off the last of the Batsuit and headed towards the elevator to Wayne Manor.
Bruce Wayne arrived at Wayne Tower early the next morning. He went right to Wayne Tech and Lucius Fox for a briefing on what was stolen. The Ultra Sonic Pulse Canon was simple enough, it used sound waves to clear the soil of pests. It would replace Crop Dusting, which was toxic. It was harmless enough, unless it was in the wrong hands. Lucius Fox explained to Bruce that it could be modified to work against large animals and humans.
Derek Powers was a young up an comer at his father’s company, Powers Technology. One day he would take the reins as CEO like Bruce Wayne did with Wayne Enterprises, but today Derek Powers was only a Vice President. He walked into Wayne’s Boardroom confident, yet looked a bit shaken. “Bruce…” he said, “…I’m looking forward to these new Bio Diesel engines of yours” Powers continued. “It’s an honor to work with Powers Technology” Bruce said diplomatically. He did not like Powers Technology, and he had a particular dislike of Derek Powers and his arrogant attitude.
They sat down at the table and started looking over the paperwork of the contract. Bruce could not wait to ask “So you had a little excitement last night at the office” “How so?” asked Derek. “A break in at Powers Technology. We had one here too” Bruce added. “Really, what was taken?” asked Powers “Agricultural Equipment” offered Bruce “What was taken from you?” Bruce asked. “I’m sorry I can’t tell you Bruce” Derek said with some authority. “You will tell me, if you want your engines” Bruce said smugly. Derek Powers had to think it over. “Fine…” he started “…we lost our newest, fastest Recon Drone.” Powers stated. “You probably read about it the papers last week” he added dryly. “The UFO sighted over Blackgate and Gotham last week” Bruce thought out loud. “Yes the one and the same” Derek confirmed. “Don’t worry it’s not armed with anything but cameras and thermal sensors” he added. “Now, Bruce, can I have my engines?” “Of course Derek” Bruce said as he signed the contract. The two men shook hands and Derek left the room.
Lucius Fox entered the room just after Derek Powers left. “I can’t stand the man either, Mr. Wayne” he offered. Bruce just smirked in agreement. “Mr. Wayne?” Bruce’s secretary’s voice crackled on the intercom. “Yes” he answered. “There is a Lieutenant James Gordon here to see you, sir.” “Send him in” Bruce motioned Lucius to stay. “Mr. Wayne” Gordon announced as he walked in. “Good to see you again Jim” Bruce said warmly. “This is Lucius Fox, my Right Hand Man here at Wayne Enterprises” Bruce continued as he pointed towards Lucius. “Mr. Wayne, you knew Harvey Dent?” started Gordon “Of course I did, I knew him very well” answered Wayne. “You know that he is now known as Two-Face and we at GCPD have reason to believe he is involved with both break ins at Wayne Tech and Powers Technology.” “Really?” Bruce asked a bit stunned. “Yes, I just wanted to tell you personally, because I knew you two used to be friends.” “Thank you” Bruce said nodding in disbelief. “Thank you Mr. Wayne for co-operating with us, we hope to solve these crimes soon, have a good day” Gordon said and nodded as he headed towards the door.
Bruce turned slowly to Lucius. “I need everything you have on that Ultra Sonic Pulse Canon, including what it would take to modify for larger targets and what that impact might be.” “What are you thinking Mr. Wayne?” asked Lucius. “I’m thinking one of the most ruthless men in Gotham is about to unleash a flying weapon of some sort and I need to stop him.” “I see Mr. Wayne I’ll have the information for you in a few hours” said Lucius as he headed toward the door. “Oh and Lucius…” added Wayne. “…I hope you have something in your old room downstairs that can help”. “You know Mr. Wayne, I just might have something for you.” Lucius smiled as he left.

Well that’s just over 4 pages using standard Word margins with 2,382 words and 13,511 characters including spaces. I hope I followed the rules close enough and if I need to add more I will come up with some more later.

I dont think you should have Two-Face in any part of this and I would prefere a script with Bullock or Crispus Allen. Insted of Two-Face for the guidelines I would say Riddler or/and Harley Quinn or/and Penguin. Those characters are a lot more fun than having to bring Two-Face from the dead.
