the trailer had batman begins music! lol. i think it matches better with king kong cuz the music sounds so junggle-ish and monster-like. but its ok...gotham city is the jungle and batman is the monster, haha.

Looks like it should be cool, makes me wish I was a fan of the original 1933 version. And I believe it's supposed to have dinosaurs too. Dinosaurs, you know, like this guy... *tbcroc*

Well it came out today (14th), it shouldn`t be too crowded this weekend. King Kong is not the only movie that used the batman background score in its trailer- V for Vendetta has molossus playing in its background. That 70s remake they did of King Kong is just horrible! The King Kong that is just now coming out is remade the way it should be!!! 1930s and stuff. And yes theres plenty of dinosaurs and other creatures that also appear in this aesome movie!

The original King Kong is one of my all-time favorite movies. There's no way to describe the way it makes you feel to see it as a small child. They took a 12 inch model, and brought it to life. Sure, the movement was a bit jerky at times, but man, I never had any trouble believing Kong was a living, breathing animal, and he had feelings just like everyone else in that movie. Coreographing the stop-motion animated battles must have been an absolute nightmare. This movie is so influential, it ain't funny. Dozens upon dozens of movies have been directly inspired by Kong. You should definitely take the time to see it, if only as a lesson in how special effects have evolved. I doubt it will affect a teenager the same way it does a small child, but you'll probably still enjoy it. It still works today. Despite having seen stuff like LOrd of the Rings and the Jurassic Park movies, with all theri technological wizardry, my nephew and his 2 cousins were mesmerized by Kong when I showed it to them a couple of weeks ago. Kong's magic still works. Smile

Anyway, I can't wait to see the new version. And my main man Jack Black is in it, too. I was gonna see it Saturday with some friends, then take my neice and nephew to see it Sunday, but I'm now going to have to work overtime Saturday. So, I guess I'll see it Sunday when I take the kids.

i think kids can handle everything in R movies except horror. thats how i was as a kid. blood wasnt a problem for me, it was just movies like exorcist that freaked me out. it freaks me out even today. BLAH! those movies are so scary!

As long as it's nothing graphic-- i.e. disemboweling and decapitations-- they'll be fine. I know somebody who went to an advance screening a week or so back, and she said it's about the same level as the T-Rex attack in Jurassic Park.

I want to see the new one, but I really want to see the old one. It's on over Christmas, along with the sequel 'Son of Kong' and the 1976 remake. I'll watch them before I see the new one, so I can truly appreciate the new one.

They still have this at a theatre over here for only a buck! I just saw it a few minutes ago, and I gotta say, it was friggin' amazing. Best buck I ever spent. The visuals and action are some of the best I've ever seen.

The music is actually composed by James Howard, one of the two composer of Batman Begins. And yeah, it was very similar, and very good.

I had no idea it had been 3 hours long until I checked my watch as I was leaving. the time FLEW by. I immediately wanted to watch it again. It's an astonishing achievement. This is one of those rare films that absolutely must be experienced in a theatre.
