Season 1: 3/5 lots of good ideas, good music, good art (I love Matsuda's work) and overall the buildup for a great show. The execution just wasn't as good as it could've been. It ended up being just so-so, kinda average, with the occaisonal stand out moments of awesome-ness (like the season finale and the Bane episode)
Season 2: 4/5 They really stepped it up in terms of quality IMO, and while it still had some shaky writing I didn't have too many problems with season 2.
Season 3: 4/5 Batgirl rocked, but the series suddenly became animated 60s Batman. Alot of the episodes felt so over the top, even for The Batman (a series which is primarily over the top) And they got rid of Yin, who was one of my favorite characters (and one of the few to get alot of character development) The writing got a LITTLE better, but not by much. (They didn't have many god-awful episodes, almost every season 3 episode was enjoyable)
Season 4 looks to be the best, not just because of Robin and the new characters and all the comic-fan service but because the show has finally found itself and knows what its good at and where its strengths are. And the writing will hopefully get much better, and with the writers they have lined up it seems like that's the case.
Show overall: 4/5, its not perfect but it does alot right. I love the sound design, the art, the animation is very well done, and the voice acting is great. I also enjoy the new twists they put on things. The only real issue is the writing, which goes from being really great one moment to being just ok the next minute. Its an action series, and it shines at that, but all action and no substance makes for only an average series.
Batman Vs. Dracula: 5/5, good writing, not too many bat-puns, some really great animation and designs (Joker-vampire was awesome) And it had some really creepy moments (Joker robbing the blood bank and getting drenched in blood....that was the best scene IMO) This DTV really shows the potential that the series could have.
If the show could get past the kiddie-geared story-lines and really do some more mature stuff then they'd have gold.

My ratings are:
Season One: 4/5 - It was the starting point and it was good
Season Two: 4.5/5 - It improved the previous season and had good quality
Season Three: 3/5 - There is still some good episodes but the quality, for most, was liek it went down somewhat.
And yes, Season 4 looks great.
You don't get it, boy... this isn't a mudhole... it's an operating table.

I just picked up Season One on DVD the other day. Shows how far out of the loop I am, i didn't even know a new animated Batman cartoon was even on, lol. I couldn't get into the other Batman cartoon but the artwork on the cover made me spend the money for this.
Season 1: 4/5
Sure it has its ups and downs but I really like this show, can't wait to see more! |

season 1---> 3.5/5 good but it could have been better
season 2 ---> 4/5 much better then the last, def. worth watching
season 3 ---> I've only seen the batgirl episode and that was on youtube so for right now I won't rate it.

i just seen season one on DVD and i loved it!
it had its ok moments but for a saturday cartoon this is great.
i have season 2 but didnt open it up yet.
now i cant wait since you guys say season 2 is better.
i dont watch TV so i will need to wait till season 3 &4 to come out on DVD.
but so far this is a great cartoon! |

We've got Season 4 on at the moment - so far we've had 3 episodes. Of them, 1 was alright, but the other 2 have been nothing short of superb.
From an initial position of mixed emotions towards The Batman (I think Bruce is exceptional, but I hate the look of the Joker), I've got to say that I'm now won over.
Season 1 wasn't bad (I certainly didnt think it was the disaster some people do - but BTAS it isn't), and Season 2 was much stronger - and I've not yet seen Season 3.
Re Season 4; Artifacts was amazing! Aside from the tribute element of the show, the actual story was very clever. Great stuff!; but tonights episode "Two Of A Kind" (sort of When Joker Met Harley) was arguably even better.
Only 3 shows in - but I'm really impressed with Season 4...........
I'm gonna pick up the Dracula DVD - haven't seen that yet. |

Season 1: I thought it was ok and I agree with real dark knight that it is not as bad as people say it is. I think we were all shocked at the aproch they took with it. Over all 3 out of 5
Season 2: I think its about the same as season 1. Exsept for the riddler. over all 3 out of 5
Season 3: I think it was really good. The only problem I had with it was it was trying to be like the 60's show. Over all 4 out of 5.
Season 4: So far so good! and I'm not saying that because Robin's in it and Robin's my favorite! I would say the same if batgirl appered in this one. So far 5 out of 5 |
