From Superhero Hype!, ComingSoon.net/SuperheroHype.com caught up with Cillian Murphy this weekend at the press junket for his new thriller, "Red Eye," directed by Wes Craven and hitting theaters on August 19. Murphy was asked whether we will see him return to the role of Dr. Jonathan Crane/Scarecrow in a possible sequel to Batman Begins.
"I'd love to," he said if Warner Bros. is making sequels. "Yeah, I'll do another one. I guess it has to hit certain figures."
He says the studio signed him for more films. "They have options on us, yeah."
While we may see Scarecrow again, it's not certain if it will be in the next film.
-I think this is awesome, I'd love to see some more of him in the future! Comments?

If they dont show him in the second he will most likely be in the third or tied to the plot of the third

Rather than concentrating on one theme per film?
referring to previous events from time-to-time would give the overall storyline more credibility. Yeah, I like that idea too. Cillian was awsome. It looks like his spooky role as Scarecrow's really helping launch him into that type of character, as he's in that new creepy film. I'd be happy to see him in another Batman film.

uh huh he will probly be shown in flashbacks for the second, which would be cool cuz bruce could be tellin alfred how scarecrows gas affected civillians then it could flash to the scarecrow and wat batman saw when he was affected

Even more satisfying would be eventually seeing the INVALUABLE return of Liam Neeson
(the true Ra's Al Ghul)?
freshly rejuvenated from the Lazarus Pits and even introducing Talia to the plot.
----
This new franchise has the luxury of really explaining every facet of BATMAN.
There are so many avenues to explore.
If they stay-on-track and continue to deliver quality movies, Batman could go on for years? like the Bond films.
1. I sure Ra's Al Guhl (Liam Nesson) is truly dead! There is no way he will be returning!
2. I would definatly like to see Talia (that is if she will appear)!
3. I not sure if the new Batman franchise can go that long! It would be cool if they keep Christian Bale (til they make a live action "Batman Beyond" movie)!::batmanbeyond::

Then David Goyer would have to complicate the story, and make it more logic!*jlbatman*

I'm excited to see all of the major villains in the new format. Scarecrow is still out there w/ whole crapload of other escapees from Arkham. Batman will have his hands full for a long time. |

well he needs a lazarus pit right? how are they going to get him to a lazarus pit.....when he blew up? i think hes dead that train made a huge explosion no way he survived that one and i doubt they are going to drop his leg in a pit and hope a whole new ras comes out

Ra's came back from the dead when put into the pit in the animated series. It could be done. I doubt they'll revisit Ra's in future films though. They'll likely move on to other villains. |

i dont think you understood my point, he was blown up, there is nothing that they could put IN the lazarus pit. if they put in a peice of his finger would a whole new ras come out? i dont think so. so thats why i think he wont be back

They never actually show what became of his body. I just don't think he'll be back because of the desire to put new villains on the screen. |

true, i was just going by realism since thats what nolan wants for this series. realistically the chances of surviving that kind of explosion is slim
