You know whatever the title, I'd love to see the Laughing Fish.. they could use that. Not for the whole story mind you, but part of it.

Here's what I think they could use

Batman: Strikes
Batman: Injustice
Batman: Escalation
Batman: The Killing Joke
Batman: Scourge
Batman 2
Batman: Supremacy
Batman: Dominance
Batman: Trinity of Justice (gordon, dent, batman)
Batman: Rise of Darkness
Batman: Vengeance
Batman: Continues

and for B3
Batman:Forever Knight (sounds sweet!)

return of the batman sounds real cliche but legends of the dark knight isnt all that bad although it bears no relation to the joker

I don't really think any title with the word "Return(s)" would make much sense. With the '90s film series, it was like Batman's presence was really felt when he was needed to take out the big villians like The Joker and Penguin, and you'd kind of presume those were the only times he really talked with Gordon or did anything major. In fact, the first time you see him speak with Gordon (not really looking at him at all during conversation) was in Returns.

By the end of Begins, we get the indication that Batman's role has been pretty well established and that he's been in Gotham fighting alongside Gordon for a few weeks now, so there'd not really be any big "return" in this case.

I agree that "The Killing Joke" doesn't seem likely. If they didn't use "Year One", I doubt they would use "The Killing Joke". The story probably won't follow "Killing Joke" that closely anyway, just be loosely based on it, as done with "Year One" in Begins.

We know the title will have "Batman" in it, but I don't see anything that points to it absolutely having to flow with the past film series. This is entirely fresh and they can do as they wish.

I don't really want them to call it the Killing Joke. Since this is supposed to be a trilogy, I thought it would be cool if all of the titles flowed off of each other.
i.e.,

Batman BEGINS

Batman TRIUMPHANT

Batman FALLS

Batman RETURNS

I know there's already one of those films, but this way it would actually work. I think it would be so freakin' cool if they made those last two films a mix of both Knightfall and DK. But on the other hand, here's hoping that this franchise even lasts four films!

true that. robin cant really fit well with movies. oh well...robins still one of my favorite characters...but what about nightwing? i wanna see nightwing in a live action movie...it wud be so awesome.
