now nightwings different. not only do i like nightwing (he rules!) but his character and costume would fit with the movies as compared to robins colorful costume and of peoples idea of robin being campy (people who arent big bat fans)

As long as they create a good back story for nightwing while also keeping batman in the spotlight then thats fine by me. About the title, though, I have already put down my guesses on the previous page

i've never really read comics, can someone explain this Killing Joke story line for me.

Sure.

The Killing Joke was published just a year before the 1989 Batman film came out, which I'm sure influenced the scene where Jack Napier falls into the vat of chemicals, becoming The Joker. The story does two things; it explains The Joker's origin, and shows a wonderful display of The Joker's modern day insanity where he shoots Barbara Gordon, paralyzing her.

His origin does not give his real name. He's just a failed comedian trying to support him and his pregnant wife by getting involved with a gang. His wife is electricuted but the gang forces him to go through with it. He's forced to wear a tuxedo and dress as the "Red Hood" character. Batman ends up foiling their plans and Joker falls (actually more like jumps) into a vat of chemicals to escape Batman, turning his hair green, skin white, lips red, and tuxedo purple.

Also in the story, he comes into Barbara's apartment and shoots her in the belly which gets her spine. He takes photos of her nude body and kidnaps James Gordon, strips him naked, and takes him through this crazy fair ride trying to make him insane by seeing the nude photos 'n such. Pretty whacky stuff, and a good read. Hope that helps.

The basic element from that story that would probably be interpreted in the Batman Begins sequel would be his origin. If it is told, I'm sure it'll be a bit different than in the 1989 film and "Killing Joke" comic, just not sure how.

Eh, just seems a bit much for a Batman movie title. Maybe I'm just so used to the previous ones. I do think it will be a pretty short, more simple one though.

Seeing how this series is based on Batman's evolution and is focusing on him I think the title will follow a similar path, to show its batman in the spotlight. It will most likely flow with begins.

Nolan has confirmed it wont be Batman Continues so thats some good news
