As originally posted yesterday by Beyond

What's everyone think of the DVD? Of course we're all getting the Deluxe Edition, you'd be insane not to. I personally haven't gotten it, I found that most of the Oct. 18th releases are much cheaper on Amazon.com than at Wal Mart. Hopefully I've got the patience to wait...

havent checked it out much, but ive got a wuestion about the bonus disc:

is it normal for it to start at the language menu where u choose either english or french and go straight to the interactive comic?? it seems weird that itd go straight to the comic ebfore anything else.

after i got to the end of the comic, then i got to the main menu for special features....is this how they intended it, or do i have some weird disc?:uhoh::confused:

U GOT THAT RIGHT, this dvd doesnt miss anything but deleted scenes, which it more than makes up for. Tankman Begins was a nice addition too

ya the fight scenes are easier to see, alot better then in theatre. The overall picture and sound are well done too.

I thought they did an excellent job with the DVD, I was happy to see they included Tankman Begins. I haven't gotten into the second disc too much, just to see a couple of the features. I agree that the navigation is a bit odd, but you can go through the comic pretty quickly.

I've watched the movie and the documentaries. It bugs me a little when they do 4 or 5, 15 minute documentaries instead of doing a big one with the same material. They are very good though, and very interesting, especially the one about the tumbler.

The one exploring the history of Batman through the comics was interesting, except that about a third of it was an advertising for All Star Batman & Robin. That was irritating, when they could have given some decently thorough summaries of the classic stuff they mentioned, or talked about other stories like Arkham Asylum or Bob Kane's stuff in the beginning. Really cool to see and hear some of the creators like Denny O'Neil and Jim Lee.

i understand they wanted to keep batman mysterious, so the fight scenes were done that way on purpose, but even batman vs ducard was hard to keep up with!! out of the whole movie that was the one aspect that irritated me, but the story was enough to block that out

well finally got thru all the special features on disc 2 today. lol i still thik its a bit confusing and just weird having the disc itself start with the comic, but ohe well:lol:

all the special features were great and quite informitive. ia gree with DK about how it seemed a bit forced with the subtle advertising for the all star line lol. the one complaint i have is that we didnt hear much at all from the cast and a bit too much from the crew. i woulda loved to hear comments from michael caine and morgan freeman regarding their thoughts on the film.

i havent checked out tankman yet but will soon, and then ill just watched the movie itself half a dozen times repeatedly hehe! not a big fan of widescreen but the way they have it isnt so bad and well the extra perks seem to be worth it. well done to all those who made this possible Smile

i watched the bonus disk and i must say im disappointed. i found nothing "special" about the special features. just the same old ho hum stuff you find on all other bonus disks. i thought the documentaries were too short and didnt really go into the detail i would have like. and like BDG said, where are the cast interviews? the one featurette i did like was the one on the suit, just wish it was longer and more detailed.

i, for one, liked the bonus disc. When i heard of the navigational comic i thought it would be lamely animated but the animation was nice, the effects on the comics were nice, and having to find the stuff on your own was actually pretty fun. The actual comic book with the man who falls was cool! the print was small but, i was able to make it all out, it was a nice addition to a great DVD DE!

tankman begins, to me though, felt like an attempt to just have more things in the dvd besides the actual movie. i think this mainly because of every single parody MTV has done, which by the way were HHIIIILAAARIOUS!, this one was.......extremely bad and not funny at all.
