im just trying to get people to know that robin could possibly work in the batman begins movies. but i doubt it cus nolan doesnt like robin and bale doesnt like robin. lol. but IF they did like robin...
then this wud be the story that i have in mind..
-dick's parents die.
-bruce takes him in when hes 12.
-bruce trains him.
-dick is a computer wiz, so he helps batman track down his enemies, but never becomes robin until hes 15 or 16.
-and...by this time, batmans all smart. so batman wud make robin's costume.

That's a really good design, pretty much what I had in mind if he were ever introduced. I was thinking that the R should be a dark red and a black utility belt with dark red accents. The inside of the cape would also be the same color. Goo work!

Now that my 'wow' is gone, I would suggest that maybe you consider using a gold version of the Nightwing logo, a la Batman & Robin. One of the few things that film got right was a damn near perfect Robin suit. I would also suggest abandoning the t-shirt idea in favour of long sleeves.
I definitely love your inspiration from the Batman costume and the karate influence in the pants is cool too!

Cool design, but I'd change all the yellow parts to dark red. I still would not want Robin in the movie though.

Homer: Batman?

Homer: Batman's a scientist.

If red is to be used, the shade of red that Daredevil has on his costume would be perfect.

lol, what i did was choose the darkest color and the brightest color. i thot robin had too many colors, so i used black and yellow. and i thot those were good colors cuz batman has those two colors in batman begins. but yeah, i think i shud either go dark red(for coolness and to match colors of a robin) or gold(better than yellow).
and i see that no one likes my short sleeves. lol. WELL TOO BAD! i like them. hahaha. but not to worry. i will make alternate versions. i will make a dark red version, a gold version, a dark red+long sleeve version, and a gold+long sleeve version...when they are done is a mystery.

which is ur favorite?? i made the adjustments that were wanted except gothamite's nightwing logo(sorry, i might do it later, but i was too lazy, lol).
alot of u guys asked for dark red. and well...he looks sooo evil. lol. maybe its cuz of the red i chose..but if its a red robin suit ura wanting, then just look at the b&r robin and imagine that the giant bulge and the nipples arent there. lol.

#4 - Best design for a Robin costume I've ever seen.
Marge: Homer, I've got someone here who can help!
Homer: Batman?
Marge: No, a scientist!
Homer: Batman's a scientist.

#4 Near perfection. The eyes don't neccessarily have to be red. But other than that, that suit is just awesome. I love it so much. The red is perfect, despite what you seem to think.
PLEASE MAKE ONE WITH A NIGHTWING LOGO!

Here's what I think should be Robin (Jason Todd/Tim Drake)'s origin:
1. Parents killed by mobster (Tony Zucco, Rupert Thorne).
2. Bruce takes Jason/Tim in after Jason/Tim has spent a few weeks living on the streets.
3. Jason/Tim learns that mobster has bought his way out of jail. Begs Bruce to help him track him down and kill him, but Bruce declines.
4. Batman tracks down mobster but nearly gets killed in a trap set for him.
5. Robin saves him and is chasing the mobster out when the mobster is killed by police bullets.
6. Like Batman, Robin realises that his anger isn't quelled by vengeance.
7. Batman realises that Jason/Dick needs guidance and Batman trains him for a year.
8. Jason/Dick, now roughly 18 or 19, dons the dark red Robin costume and the dynamic duo stop some villain who is hatching a diabolical scheme.
In the shadows I saw my destiny...
I would seek justice...
I would have my revenge...

Decent origin Gothamite. I still don't want Robin in it at all though.

At this point, I'd be happy either way. If WB decide to never introduce Robin, that's fine, but if they decide to introduce Robin with a great suit like that, then that would be great too.

yea i agree with gothamite. i dont care if it goes one way or the other. putting robin in or out wudnt change the quality of it. robin was in pretty much every single one of my favorite stories. and taking him/her out wudnt really make it any better or worse (depending on which story).
i still dont understand why ppl dont want robin in it tho. whats not cool about robin? and if its cuz of the suit, then thats not a good reason. last time i remembered, batman had a blue and grey costume, and yet he had a black one in begins. and besides, robin wud be a great addition. robin is basically a mirror of batman, so they cud learn from each other. if i remember correctly, bruce remembered y he became batman in the first place becuz he saw it thru dick grayson (batman forever).

nice job on the suit phil, the only thing i would change would be the lenses, maybe make them lighter. Otherwise thats an amazing costume design!!!!!
