BATMAN BEYOND: YEAR ONE
http://www.batmanfanfilms.com/films/?fanfilm=2
heres another fan film. its about batman beyond like a year after the series. pretty cool stuff. its directed by the same guy who made patient j, but it didnt have the greatest acting. but i still liked it. it had some cool effects. batman was flipping around evrywhere. but...this movie has more emotional stuff than batman kicking butt...so u shud skip thru parts if u wanna see some action.
THERES ALOOOOTTTAAA fan films on the site. and these are my favorites. well..for now. grayson was good, but it got old.

Yeah, they have some really good stuff. There's a few that made me laugh so hard. I have yet to see the ones you just mentioned but maybe I'll check them out soon. By the way, did you see "Batman: Defenders of the Night"? If not, go watch it, it's so funny and awesome.

Grayson was a bit on the campy side for me. Chief O' Hara wasn't neccessary and whoever played him did a really bad Irish accent. On the plus side, the camerawork was quite good I suppose.
I must be the only fan who didn't enjoy Dead End. To me, it seemed like my Dad in a Batman costume, fighting the Joker who looked just like some drunk teenager. I never read Batman vs Predator so that aspect of it didn't really catch my eye, either. Batman also kept spitting everywhere! What's up with that? That's just gross, man!

I liked Dead End. I think the reason for all that spitting and stuff was that Sandy was trying to make it real gritty. The Pedator did seem a little strange though, I would probably would've liked it better if they stuck with a normal villian.

I enjoyed Grayson, I agree, parts here and there seemed a bit campy but I still liked it. Dead End, imo, is overrated. Nothing great, just some neat costumes.
Lois: What the hell am I doing in a dress, and what the hell am I doing at your Prom?
Clark: [ Realizing. ] Oh, no.
Lois: Did you pin that on me?
Clark: I'll explain later, Lois.
Lois: A little close to the boob, don't you think?

Yeah, I'd like to do a fan film, maybe when I get a lot more cash and know someone with a good Batman script; But I'm not really into acting on movies, so I guess I'd just direct and oversee prop development.
Gothamite wrote:I must be the only fan who didn't enjoy Dead End.
Actually I didn't really like it either... To me the only good thing in it was the Batman costume, the acting was very, very, very bad. And somthing I noticed watching the "making of" video, while the guy who played Batman looks like Batman while wearing the cowl, he looks nothing like Bruce Wayne without it, go figure.
And I loath the predator, why do people compare the Predator movies to the Alien movies? Predator movies are generic action films with an alien in them; the first three Alien movies are not only scary, but given good character development and an actual plot, plus I think they are the greatest Sci-Fi films ever.

Batman: Dead End is technically a decent movie, though the plot seems incomprehensible. I have mixed feelings about it, though I give the performers an A for effort. I would LOVE to see Clark Bartram do Bruce Wayne, and I think he could pull it off. I am loathe to criticise him, since he and I have mutual friends.
But would I do a Dead End? Nope. I was partly weaned on Sixties TV, such as the 1966 Batman series and The FBI, and I am interested in exploring more of the human aspect of the characters. You'll see when I do Batman 1969.

I was refering to The Joker when I said the acting was "very, very, very bad".
My biggest problem with Batman was that he "Acted cat-like"; meaning he'd jump into an area and then search it with his eyes. In my mind Batman's a perceptive and careful individual, he shouldn't enter a room and then look around to see if there is anyone there, instead he should look around the room before giving up the eliment of suprise. Of course the Cat-like Idea was the director's and not Bartram's.
You know people who know Clark Bartram? Dude, you rock.
If I were to do a fan film, I'd either put the characters in an extremly real-world Gotham, even more real world then Begins; or I'd put the characters in the 40's. And they'd both be extremly dark.
Never start with the head; the victim gets all fuzzy!
