Hello, everyone. My name is Rebecca, and, well, I love Batman! I am fairly new to the world of Batman, but I am learning quickly that Batman is the best superhero out there. When I was real young, I used to watch the Batman animated series when it aired, and once I saw the "Mask of the Phantasm" movie. I guess I was too scared of the Joker and that is why I stopped watching it after a couple times. My interest in Batman was resparked years later when I got my hands on an old paperback book I bought in '98 called "The Untold Legend of the Batman" (1982). I really got into it, and so when I heard about the movie "Batman Begins" in 2005 and how awesome it was. To see if it was worth the money, I found my mom's DVD of Tim Burton's first "Batman", and I loved it. So I decided to go out and buy the DVD about a month ago. I loved the movie, and so I decided to save up some of my money to buy some comics. I bought the 4 set comic of "Batman: Year One" from '87 and "The Long Halloween" paperback. Then I was hooked. In my opinion, Batman is the most noble, realistic superhero of the comic book universe. I also love Robin, and I hear there are other characters that help Batman as well...Nightwing, I think one of them was?? Anyway, yeah, I am a big Batman fan, and I am looking forward to collecting more batman merchandise, and I am realy excited about "The Dark Knight"! Feel free to send me a message or something if you'd like!
Hello Rebecca, and welcome to the wonderful realm of Batman Yesterday, Today, and Beyond.
'Nightwing' is Dick Grayson, the original Robin after he left from under Batman's wing. He has since been replaced as Robin by Jason Todd, who was then replaced by Tim Drake who is the current Robin.
And the character 'Oracle' is Barbara Gordon, the original Batgirl, after the events of a one-shot comic book titled "The Killing Joke".
And if you liked "The Long Halloween" you should check out it's direct sequel, "Dark Victory." I own both books and they are two of my most valued posessions.
And Batman does indeed rock.
Never start with the head; the victim gets all fuzzy!

As Adam West's version of Batman would say, "Greetings, Good Citizen!"
If you liked "The Masked phantom" then I think you'll really like another DVD Bat-Movie called SUB ZERO. I like that one bettr just because the animation quality is better. In a few scenes they add some CGI that's blended really well.
There's some really nice people here, neat photos, & great information too....hope ya have fun here!
