I finally, FINALLY got an Xbox 360 Tuesday. I'd been planning to buy one in February when I recieve my income tax refund. When I took my neice to Gamestop today to return the extra Nintendogs game somebody gave her for Christmas, I was looking at their salepaper. Oblivion was on sale for $29.99, so I figured I oughta go ahead and buy it, since that would beat the hell out of paying $60 for it in a month or so. Well, while the guy was getting the game, I kept looking at the paper and saw their 360 deal: buy the premium system (which is what I was gonna get anyway) and get the 1 year product replacement warranty and Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter game free! That was just too good, so I went ahead and got the system with my credit card, and I'll just use part of my tax refund to pay the card off in a month or so. With my discount card, I even got another $5 knocked off Oblivion, so it was only $25! Pretty good deal overall. I just wish to God I had broadband, so I could get on Xbox Live.
Haven't had time to play much of Oblivion yet, but so far, it's awesome. I love the feeling when you step out of the sewers and into the wide open world for the first time; it's even more impressive than when you first step into the city in Morrowind. You can spend hours just customizing your character's face! I thought Morrowind had an insane amount of freedom, but it looks like Oblivion improves on it in every way.
Yesterday I picked up Call of Duty 2 for $16.99 at Gamestop(sale price, plus More Card discount). After that, I ran across Gears of War and Marvel Ultimate Alliance for $39 each at Target! Couldn't resist getting them at that price. That'll have to be the end of my video game spending for a while.
I have an xbox 360 and I love it... except for the fact that I had to get it repaired and that it's taken 6 weeks (and counting) to get it back.
Best buy says any day now, I say go die in a hole lol
