Does anyone agree that this is one of the greatest 'stupid' comedies ever made? I love this movie so much.

I first saw this movie during the summer. It has to be the best comedy I've seen in a LONG time, if not all-time best. They got such an awsome cast. I've always loved Ferrell since his SNL days, and I'm pretty familiar with the other guys too (except Brian). The telephone booth scene and catpoop scene were probably the most hilarious, I almost thought of making a thread for this movie myself. Smile

Will Ferrel is the one person from the past decade of SNL that has been worth a damn. A harsh judgement, maybe, but an accurate one. I saw this is the theatre, and it was really funny. I really get burned out on "brainless" comedies like this, but it was so well-done. The cast really sells it. I was glad to see Steve Carell in it, as I've liked him since he was on "The Daily Show" years ago. I'm glad to see him gaining a fanbase.

Speaking of Steve Carell there used to be a rumore about him playing the joker lol. He even that said he would probably like to do it, and I think he`d probly do a good job (especially comedy wise the way the joker is funny sometimes) but I would just hate to see him as a bad guy after seeing how funny he is in Anchorman, Bruce almighty, and 40 year old virgin. And all I have to say for Anchorman is- "Years later a doctor will tell me that I have an IQ of 48...and then what some people call `Mentally Retarded` *dance* "

"Look, I never wanted this for myself...but I wanted Batman and Robin back together the way they should be. And if Dick won`t become Robin again...Someone else has to!" - Tim Drake, A LONELY PLACE OF DYING Chapter five: Rebirth

I love the crap Ron comes up with.

It was okay but it can't touch Zoolander. The 40 Year Old Virgin was also excellent, but it's not exactly a "stupid" comedy.

Marge: Homer, I've got someone here who can help!
Homer: Batman?
Marge: No, a scientist!
Homer: Batman's a scientist.
Marge: It's not BATMAN!!

Eh. Zoolander had some pretty good, goofy stuff, but I thought Anchorman was just awsome. There's some good deleted scenes on the DVD too, like Baxter's funeral. And the extra interviews were great too.
