I think that he is still trying to get the horrible-ness of the last Supergirl movie out of his mind. Helen Slater did great as Supergirl, but the rest of the cast really camped it up.

It's sad, becasue to me, you can't have Supergirl without Superman. It's like if they were to make a Robin movie, there has to be Batman....

Who's to say that Elisha Cuthbert would even be any good as Supergirl? In Girl Next Door she wasn't great. I don't like people casting actors as superheroes just because they're hot.

I've always said that Batman Beyond was made because they didn't think people would watch a show about just Robin. I've never read anything that said that, but it just makes too much sense to me. Robin in the comics was really popular when the series came out. Same thing would probably apply to movies.

i agree with you about supergirl but i think they could make a robin movie without batman. heres how it'd work:
dick graysons parents get killed in the circus just like comics. then dick gets adopted by some random guy thats really rich
but then he decides that he wants to avenge his parents death so he sneaks out every night and becomes robin!!!

This gyrl certaintly looks the part, she did great in Girl Next Door but we have no way of knowing if she`d be a great Supergirl and thats just something we`ll have to leave up to the people who run the auditions. However I think that there should be a new Supergirl cuz the one that was made was really really bad lol!!! Althrough yes Helen Slater played the character well I did not like the story whatsoever!!!

hot and not bad actor + superman returns most likely coming up big + WB needing to make more money + wannabe director who mirrors shumacher = SUPERGIRL!!!
