Awesome. I didn't think they would show that much of Superman (must have been thinking on the terms of the Begins teaser). Brandon Routh has really grown on me, it looks like it's going to be a great movie.

There are some really great things with the trailer. The movie is going to really look awesome. That las tshot where Superman is flying into the atmosphere is really cool.
I was a little disappointed in it too though. There just really wasn't much there. The Begins teaser at least showed that there would be a tone that wasn't used before. If you closed your eyes you would have thought someone was playing a trailer for the first Superman movie. Brando's monologue is straight from that movie. It seems like they could have used some of the unused stuff that they are going to be using in the movie. I would have liked to hear Routh speak as well.
I am little concerned that they will over use the Christ analogy. My wife said that at least they didn't say only begotten son. I don't mind using the idea, but sometimes it is done too much.
Despite this I have some great hopes for the movie. The Reeve movies are what got me into superheroes. June won't be here soon enough.

Yes! Yes! Yes! All I could think about when I was watching this trailer was 'People are finally going to understand Superman'! And this whole 'too powerful/Spider-Man's cooler' crap will end. Great teaser. Can't wait for the full theatrical trailer!

Superman is a Christ figure, a modern day Moses. He's know for that and the idea of that not in him in a film or whatever would seem like a crime.

No, I don't think it will be quite as good as Batman Begins mainly because it's playing off of previous Superman films, but it definitely will be great.

Anyone notice some scenes that were similar to batman begins?
How about the part where he's falling through the barn---Bruce into the cave
Both those scenes help towards the evolution of the hero as they discover new things and grow older.
Another scene i found interesting was the one with lois and she uses the spot light to call superman (Reminiscent of Gordon calling Batman in Begins)
Hmmm........
Anyways I'm looking forward to this movie and have my fingers crossed, hoping its not a disapointment.

Warner Bros. is really banking on this film. With all the promos they have planned, all the hype they are and will be giving it, while they didn't bank on Begins to much because of B&R. So in terms on box office, I thikn it'll do better. In terms of the movie itself. I think they will be close to the same.

I love how they`re keeping the original background scores (not just because its a continuation)...along with some new material which is said to be heard is cool too. I mean we have our debates about our favorite Batman themes but I`ll bet everyone agrees with me here that no one will ever be able to top John Williams Superman theme!
