PLOT:
Jimmy Olsen receives a letter at the Daily Planet giving him directions to a place in Suicide Slum to get information about Lightray. There he finds Sleez, a former servant of Darkseid. Sleez starts to tell Jimmy that Darkseid can be destroyed but he is then killed by a beam from the sky.

Mary Marvel is testing her powers she gained from Black Adam. She has the Marvel powers plus those left to Adam by Isis. While flying around, she finds a group of pregnant woman sitting in a pentagon around a piece of the Rock of Eternity. They summon a demon who kills all of them and then grabs Mary. Mary is able to defeat the demon by calling down her magic lightning.

The Flash's Rogues are eating in a diner when a fight breaks out between Piper and Mirror Master. They are stopped by Captain Cold and Inertia.

Jason Todd visits Donna Troy in Washington, D.C. to talk about Duela Dent and the fact the two of them are also anomalies in the new universe. While they are talking, the Monitors call on an agent named Forerunner to deal with the pair. They are attacked by Forerunner, an alien woman, who easily defeats both of them.

NOTE:
Two page end of issue story entitled, "History of the Multiverse, Chapter 4" in which the Monitors continue their look at the multiverse. The JLA and JSA continued to team up to face threats to both worlds. During one meeting Black Canary's husband was killed. To deal with her grief she moved permanently to Earth-1 from Earth-2, disrupting the balance between worlds. In other meetings they met the Seven Soldiers of Victory and the Freedom Fighters of Earth-X.
