PLOT:
When God's Vengeance is finally visited upon Dr. Light, Allen finds him celebrating the death of the Martian Manhunter by chaining up women dressed as Donna Troy, Starfire and Raven and preparing to force them to do
his lewd bidding. Thankfully the Spectre puts a stop to that by turning Light into a gigantic candle with his body as the wick and lighting him on fire.
After also punishing Effigy for his sins, Crispus Allen is sent to serve
judgment over the villain Libra. Unfortunately he finds that not only can he not find Libra's true
identity, he also cannot touch the leader of the Church of Crime. Claiming to be unique to the entire universe as well as immortal, Libra is unable to be judged by God and is immune to Spectre's wrath. As such Crispus is forced into an explosive
retreat. The Hangmen find themselves suffering God's wrath instead as their corpses hang suspended from spectral nooses in his wake.
Crispus comes to kneeling at the foot of his son's grave. Ordered by God's Will to take the life of his own son as punishment for his son avenging his death, Crispus still has not come to terms with his
Spectre duties. But after doing everything that God has asked of him, Allen decides that he will do no more. Shouting his resignation to the heavens above, he finds that God already has a new assignment for him...
Across the globe Renée Montoya is still finding herself at odds with the murderous cult she is now in charge of. As members of the cult return from a dive with the Spear of Destiny in their possession, Montoya attempts to stop them from using it.
While dodging a blast from the Spear of Destiny, one of the cult members is disintegrated by it's power.
Suddenly the booming voice of the Spectre is heard. Crispus Allen has been sent to deliver God's
Judgment to his former GCPD partner, The Question!
